Induction Hob

TInduction hobs do take a bit of getting used to if you’ve not used one before.

Start by checking that the hob is switched on. There is a red switch to the left hand side of the hob on the wall.

Then match the pan size to the ring. The hob won’t work if you don’t have a correct sized pan actually sitting on the hob. Sometimes it buzzes. We think its because of the material the pan is made from. Don’t worry about it though..

Then:

  • Press the ‘on’ symbol on the far LH side.

  • Push the central silver knob 1cm in the direction of the ring you want to use, then bring the central silver knob back to the centre of the dial. Immediately rotate the knob clockwise for the desired heat, i.e. 1 to 10 (10 being the hottest).

• If you want extra heat. press the p (power boost). Watch any food carefully as this provides instant intense heat. Your food will cook/burn incredibly quickly.

Troubleshooting...

If the silver knob won’t work, try running a damp cloth on the hob surface to clean off any food spillage.

If you get a number of Es appearing, turn the hob off at the wall, make sure that the hob surface is dry, wait a few seconds and turn it back on. It always resets itself.

Sometimes you may accidentally lock the hob and a lock sign will appear. To unlock the hob, hold down the lock sign until the lock symbol disappears.
