Abermawr

Abermawr Beach

Abermawr is owned by the National Trust and is a stones throw from Melin Tregwynt woolen mill. It’s a pebble beach revealing sand and 8000 year old buried tree stumps at low tide.

It’s possible to park right next to it, or better still, do the circular walk that takes you through a beautiful woodland meadow (with wild garlic and bluebells in late Spring). Best identify the start on a map where to park your car.

Keep your eye out for some quite high and daring rope swings!

There’s also a nice little sister beach to the east called Aberbach which is better aligned for sunset BBQs!

Dogs allowed all year round.
